Foster Care Fortnight is here 13th until 24th May and we are looking at launching our fortnight with a group photo outside the Town Hall at 1pm under the big screen with the Charlie image on the screen.
I have invited the fostering team and it would be fantastic if as many of you as possible could make it to the Town Hall for us to launch Foster Care Fortnight.
We are also planning on 2 flyer drops on both Wednesday’s 15th and 22nd from 1pm until 2pm. We have chosen 2 areas where we could meet and get as many out as possible. Wednesday 15th on the Fernhurst Estate and then on the 22nd on the Beardwood Estate. I know these are both big areas but the houses are in a perfect location for us to be recruiting some new carers.
I am hopeful we will have some branded tote bags delivered in time for Friday 17th so these can be sold in the staff foyer at Duke Street and if we have any leftover they can be sold at the next FCA meeting. Due to the cost of these we have only been able to order 100 of these.
The focus this year for foster care fortnight is #changeafuture and this will be used on all our social posts over the 2 weeks. If anyone has any stories they would like to share about the lives of the young people you have had in your care please send them to me and I will make sure they are shared out on our website and social media. I will come out and take photos if you are happy and hopefully, they will then be more likely to get picked up by the likes of Lancashire Telegraph and such.
Thank you for your help in advance!
