Our team is made up of 8 Supervising social workers. When you are going through the assessment process you will be assigned to one supervising social worker who will take you through the process step by step. They will work with you on your Form F document and present with you at the fostering panel.
When a child is referred to Children’s Services and is in need of a place to call home, your social worker will know your strengths, they will know that a child would thrive with your help and support. They will take into consideration any cultural needs of the child or any special measures they may need to ensure they are kept safe.
They will then speak to you about the child and the placement that is needed to see if you would be happy to accept the foster placement for as long as is needed.
Our Supervising social workers will work alongside you for the whole of your fostering career where possible, they will be your first point of contact and they will support you every time a child or young person comes into your home and becomes part of your family.
