Long Term Fostering

Could you become a Long Term foster carer?

Blackburn with Darwen’s Lets Foster service are looking for people who can offer teens, siblings and children a long term safe, supportive and loving home. Could you help and nurture someone into adulthood?

Sometimes children will not be able to go back to live with their own families for a number of years, if at all. Long-term fostering allows children and young people to stay in a family where they can feel secure, often while maintaining contact with their birth family.

Long Term arrangements are based on the needs of each child:

• Long Term Fostering can be anything over a 24 month period

• Long Term Fostering could begin at any age of the child or young person

• We would try and keep siblings together wherever possible

If you have a spare bedroom and feel that you can help a child or young person then we want to hear from you.
