This year we had a fantastic weekend at the Royal Lancashire Show in Ribchester.
Friday was a little rainy but on the whole the weekend was fantastic. It was lovely to meet some people who had been thinking about fostering and wanted to find out more as well as people who were at the very beginning of their fostering journey.
There were some brilliant attractions over the weekend with our highlight being the The Sheep Show. Stuart was amazing with both his dancing sheep and his incredible dogs who were herding geese like pro’s!
Friday also saw the Red Devil’s Parachute Team leap from their plane into the clouds which was a sight to behold. Swooping down into the equestrian ring was fantastic. The guys did a brilliant job in what looked like tough conditions.
Massive thank you to 2BR and the team. Friday we were live from the site with Paul Winstanley and Saturday we had Mike from Tatum and Mike’s breakfast show. The whole team were fantastic and between them and our bubble machine we were not short of people to speak to. The sweets might have helped a little too!
We also had a team from our very own children centres, they were on hand to help with face painting and arts and crafts and they were very popular. Lola, Dante and Nina all looked brilliant for the photos we shared over the weekend. Thank you to the girls we couldn’t have done it without you.
If you are thinking about fostering then why not pop down to our next fostering information evening where you can get a more in depth look into what fostering entiails and people to social workers and staff about fostering.
